Name: 24th Annual Oatman Sidewalk Egg Frying Contest
Date: July 4, 2014
Event Description:
Is it hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk? Find out by going to Oatman on Friday, July 4th, 2014 for the 23rd Annual Sidewalk Egg Frying Contest on the streets of old route 66.

The sizzling showdown will be held in downtown Oatman at HIGH NOON. Each team of one cooker and two stewers will be provided with two official Oatman Chamber of Commerce eggs and given 15 minutes to fry them. Eggs must be fried using SOLAR POWER ONLY. The use of mirrors, magnifying glasses, aluminum foil and other "creative" aids are allowed. The most fried egg(s) in that time frame will be declared the winner. Prizes will be awarded.

Cookers must provide their own utensils, as well as security from potential egg-napping burros. Cookers are also responsible for cleaning up their own area.
