Christmas Gala
Event Description:
Voices of the River Annual Christmas Gala-"I Believe"
“COMIN’ UP CHRISTMAS TIME”……
It’s the night children wait for all year – Christmas Eve. The tree is trimmed, freshly-baked cookies and milk await Santa. Even the sleepy dog is keeping watch. All that is missing is the sound of tiny hooves on the rooftop, announcing the kindly gentleman’s arrival - hopefully, with a bag full of presents! But what if Santa never comes?
That’s the story told by the Voices of the River Choir in their 3rd Annual Christmas Gala musical production, “I Believe!” December 14, at the Aquarius Casino Resort, Laughlin. Sadly, Santa no longer feels needed in this modern world of expensive gadgets, which everyone wants, but which make no one truly happy. When he disappears, Mrs. Claus and the elves must find a way to bring him home and rekindle the joy and hope of the Christmas Season in his North Pole Workshop. Can they do it?
Shawn Bristle, Voices musical director and dean of Mohave Community College’s Bullhead Campus wrote and directs the show which, he says, is designed for “children of all ages.”
“I especially love the fact that Santa has promised to be there that night, taking complimentary photos with the children!”
