Day Center Volunteer Meeting
Event Description:
A location has been announced for the new River Cities Day Center, a day-use center for the homeless and others in need.
The facility, to be operated by volunteers on behalf of the Social Service Interagency Council, will be at 2135 Hwy 95, Suite 135 in Bullhead City. The center will provide a central location offering information and support pertaining to critical-needs issues (housing, assistance in funding for existing housing, general mental health, legal, job-searching and food. Services will be offered Monday - Friday during the day and at other times based on critical need.
The Interagency Council is actively seeking volunteers to ready the center for operation. A volunteer orientation meeting will be held on Thursday, June 11th at 1PM.
Volunteers and council representatives will discuss the different volunteer opportunities that are available. The Interagency Council is also seeking donated supplies of drywall, tile, desks, chairs, computers and classroom supplies.
