Event Description:
This Saturday Make Bullhead Better Volunteers will be partnering with Food for Families Volunteers as we come together to distribute over 20,000 pounds of food from St. Mary’s Food Bank to people in our community.
There are no prerequisites and people can pick up for as many families as they need. Volunteer hours have been extended on Friday evening because of the heat. We will have a nice cool area to bag up the food. Friday evening 3:00-7:00 PM at 590 Hancock. We are hoping by extending the hours of bagging on Friday that Saturday we may be able to start distributing a little earlier than 8:00.
Each month people line up to get food several hours before 8:00 AM, we are just trying to help people get their food a bit earlier on Saturday so they don’t get overheated. We will also be distributing cold water to those who are waiting in line.
Volunteers for Saturday are asked to arrive at 6 AM if possible. We are very grateful for all the volunteers.
