Event Description:
Register today t participate in a swim clinic that is designed to introduce and improve competitive stroke mechanics.

The course is NOT designed to teach you basic-level swimming skills. It is dedicated to developing the knowledge and skills you will need to plan and teach courses in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Program. To participate in the Water Safety Instructor Course you must be able to swim the following strokes consistent with the American Red Cross learn-to-swim level 4 stroke performance criteria:

Front Crawl                        25 yards
Back Crawl                        25 yards
Breaststroke                      25 yards
Elementary Backstroke     25 yards
Sidestroke                        25 yards
Butterfly                            15 yards
Tread water for one minute
Maintain position on back for one minute in deep water (floating or sculling)

You must be at least 16 years old by the end of the course date. Valid forms of identification are driver's license, state issued ID Card, birth certificate, passport or other government issued photo ID.

Cost: $125 must be paid on the first day of class by check or cash only
